Proper Use of Divot Tools
(An advertising specialty product)

RIGHT WAY

Insert tool on the high side behind the ball mark.

Push the handle of the repair tool up and toward the center of the divot.

Repeat this action from all sides of the divot

Gently tap the surface of the divot down with putter.

WRONG WAY

Do not pull the handle of divot repair tool down in an effort to push center of divot up. This action will leave a bare spot in the center of the divot as well as tearing the grass roots around the divot.
Never use a piece of loose turf to cover divot
Never twist the divot tool as you fix the divot
